Stay in the Cotswolds
The Cotswolds make an ideal holiday venue. Not only are there many wonderful local walks nearby, including the famous Wychwood Forest footpath, but beautiful Cotswold towns such as Burford, Woodstock, Moreton-in-Marsh and Broadway are within easy reach.
Blenheim Palace is just five miles away, and there are other historic buildings such as Chasleton House and Snowshill Manor nearby.
For those who like luxurious shopping, Dalesford Organic Farm near Kingham is well worth a visit. Charlbury is also well situated for visits to Stratford, which is a forty-minute drive away.
Chipping Norton, which is seven miles away, is a lively market town. It has an award winning independent bookshop and cafe - Jaffe and Neal - in the centre, a newly built sports centre, and in the summer a popular outdoor swimming pool.
For family visits, the Cotswold Wildlife Park is a twenty minute drive away near Burford. There are also other attractions nearby such as the model village and model railway museum in Bourton-on-the-Water, Cogges Farm Museum in Witney and the Cotswold Farm Park near Stowe-on-the-Wold.
