Hixet Wood Barn is a spacious barn conversion situated on the outskirts of the small Cotswold town of Charlbury, Oxfordshire. It has been sensitively converted to provide very comfortable accommodation for two, but can sleep up to four people. A cot and high chair are available. The barn comprises one large sitting/dining room with a wood burning stove and a spiral staircase leading up to a large balconied sleeping area. There is a separate kitchen and bathroom. Off-road parking is available.
There is a well stocked supermarket nearby and it is a ten-minute walk to the town centre which offers a sizeable Coop, a delicatessen and health food shop, a post office, a pharmacy, a newsagent and cafe and a small independent bookshop. There are several pubs, some of which have good lunch and dinner menus, and an Indian takeaway.
Sheets and towels are provided.
Charlbury is situated in the heart of Oxfordshire, 13 miles from Oxford, and although it is a very peaceful small community, it is extremely accessible. There is a main line train station with hourly trains to Oxford and London, and Hereford and Worcester. There are also good bus links to Woodstock, Chipping Norton and Oxford. A bus stop is situated a few yards from the barn.
